Stadium replacement

The stadium and the network of tracks were newly built in the years 2000 to 2005. Before that since 1975 biathlon sport was performed at a biathlon stadium in Innenried, near Zwiesel and since 1984 at the biathlon facility at the Great Arber Lake.

The financial means for the construction of the facility were provided 50% by the Free State of Bavaria and another 50% by the booster club “Ski LLZ Arber” with 22 towns and municipalities as well as die administrative districts Regen and Cham, the district council of Lower Bavaria and sponsors. Main sponsor of the regional intensive training center is the dynasty of Hohenzollern. The facility was equipped with a functional building (“ARBERLAND Stadl”) and an electric shooting stand.
